Fringe Review: Justin’s Big Balloon Show

Amazing fun for the whole family

If you have kids, you know kids or you are a (big) kid…go see this show. Justin’s Big Balloon Show is a sixty minute show full of laughter, happiness and some impressive balloon work.

Justin’s Big Balloon Show is the latest from Showmen Productions, who have brought a series of amazing kids (and adult!) shows to the fringe over the years. If you’ve seen CIRCUS The Show, The Greatest Magic Show or Adult Only Magic Show, then you will be familiar with Justin’s work.

Recently, Justin appeared on, and won, the reality TV show Blow Up — Justin’s Big Balloon Show clearly shows audiences why he was crowned. There is nothing that Justin can’t make or create out of balloons. His balloon animal routine early in the show is worth the price of the ticket alone –– comical and impressive, it left my eight-year-old daughter in fits of laughter and at the same time asking, “How did he do that?!”

Magic, jokes, balloon sculptures and dare-devil stunts –– Justin’s Big Balloon Show has them all. While the majority of the illusions Justin performs I have seen in other shows, it is his warm, infectious personality that sells these tricks as his own. There is however, one dare-devil circus stunt (I won’t say what it is — you need to see it for yourself!) that leaves the audiences gasping in amazement. With a background in circus performance, Justin is one of the best in the business.

With shows every Saturday and Sunday of the Fringe, Justin’s Big Balloon Show is a must see. It has quickly become one of my ‘picks of the Fringe’ and will be a show we will certainly head back to see next time it is in town.
