In her new one woman show Big Night Out author Kathy Lette, as she puts it, “strips off to her emotional undies”.

Backed by a slideshow of happy snaps (with plenty of her A-list friends) and video clips, the Puberty Blues author shares an intimate look at her life. While it’s a majority-female audience, Kathy warns the gents they’ll be ‘ovulating by the end of the evening’. And it’s probably not far from the truth, with a show that spans the intimate details of childbirth, mastitis, sex, relationships, ageing and general girl talk.

Whether it’s talking about losing your virginity, hiding Julian Assange, making the Queen giggle, the heartwarming tale of raising a child on the autistic spectrum, or ageing (dis)gracefully, Kathy’s frank, delightfully honest and laugh out loud funny.

Finishing at the reasonable time of 9.15pm, it’s not too much of a Big Night Out, but it is a hilarious one (and if you’re lucky you’ll get to have a boogie on stage with the lady herself).

Season: Until March 16, 2019
