Ex-patriot Adelaide comedian Mark Trenwith certainly knows what appeals to children. Just look at the title of his latest show for them – Mr Snot-Bottom & The Curse Of The Stinky Silly Zombie Babies; all the things kids like.

The show, which has Mr Snot-Bottom (Trenwith) and his best friend Phlegm (2013 Raw Comedy winner, Demi Lardner) battling to save the world from the Zombie Baby Apocalypse (accidently started by Mr Snot-Bottom himself), is filled with bottom jokes, rude noises and silliness aplenty – and the youngsters just love it.

Trenwith uses his physical and comedic skills to the fullest, with his trademark video effects adding to the fun. Lardner makes the perfect foil for him and demonstrates a good strong stage presence, managing to hold her own with Trenwith.

The opening performance was plagued with a few technical problems which will hopefully be fixed, but the youngsters didn’t care – they were there for the silliness.

This show is glorious grossness galore: and certainly received my nearly seven year old grandson’s seal of approval, along with every other child there.
