A little bit of everything, and all of it hilarious

Opening with a brief appearance by Rudy-Lee Taurua, Nat’s What I Reckon: Uncooked started well. Taurua has a similar style to Nat, so the audience was well and truly warmed up when he came on stage.

The stage was devoid of props at this time except for a microphone and a large screen, which was quickly used to display a video, then a menu, after a short opening speech.

Surprisingly I really enjoyed the fact that he had a menu – or rather – order of the day outlining the different parts of the show. As an audience member who knows him for his cooking videos, I was able to enjoy the other parts of the show in full rather than sitting and waiting in anticipation as the ‘menu’ laid to rest any doubts that he would be cooking.

The show was a mix of short videos, songs, storytelling, and of course, cooking. If you like swearing, hilarious observations on everyday life, and the feeling of being in a carefree non-judgemental atmosphere, then this is one event not to miss.

Nat is a cook, a comedian, rock star, author, and in 2019 a Big Anxiety Health Ambassador. His life experiences and many different talents are bought to life in Uncooked.
