Nick O’Connell thinks of himself as the pinnacle of average (mainly because he needed a theme to build his Fringe show around). As a comedian, he is anything BUT average. All he needs to do to help himself along, is to get rid of the slight nerves he has.

O’Connell is an ex-Adeladian, now living and working in Victoria (but we won’t hold that against him), because that’s what single white males in their late twenties do in this Century. He knows his subjects well, is a very astute social commentator, and can poke fun easily at himself as well as others (even reviewers aren’t safe – he’s that brave!).

It is so refreshing nowadays to watch a comedian who doesn’t rely too heavily on swearing, doesn’t shout at or pick on his audience, has material that is actually funny and gives good value for money when it comes to entertaining. Keep an eye on this young man, he is more a pinnacle of delight than of average.
