Rouge is back for another Fringe season with their swanky, sassy and stylish performance of acrobatics, burlesque and opera cabaret.

Unlike other Adults Only circus shows, Rouge‘s tongue and cheek paired with classy attire makes the nudity and sexual references a natural progression of the show; an entertaining aspect of the acts rather than an element included solely to sell tickets. Rouge highlights the incredible talent of acrobats whilst also making the audience laugh out loud throughout the performance.

Whilst the operatic sounds were lovely, it at times seemed disjointed. However, with such a high energy show the opera cabaret served as the break you need to get excited about the next act.

Even the clothes have been well thought out in this performance and the props are certainly put to good use. Set in the makeshift big top, the Octagon provides the perfect circus feel for the audience and allows for spectacular up high acts.

The songs were chosen on purpose rather than just for background noise and the 8pm start time makes this a fantastic after dinner show anytime of the week. Rouge is a must see at this years Fringe.
