The tagline for The Boy, George reads that its 2028 and Prince George is pissed off. And that’s not exaggerated.

Prince George, played by the clever Patrick Livesey, is an arrogant, bratty and undeniably likeable character. A 14 year old we’ve all met in our little cousins or siblings, except this one is destined to be the future monarch. Or is he? Considering the Queen has just passed away.

Livesey’s performance is what makes this show a must see, with royalist fun facts peppered throughout and a healthy dose of crowd interaction, you won’t be able to look away from the shrine dedicated to the women in Prince George’s life.

At times, certain jokes played out too long but that can be attributed to the opening night of a show that is Livesey’s first ever solo endeavour. An endeavour that is clearly well thought out and hilarious in concept.
