Fringe Review: The Handmodel’s Tale

3

Presented by Victor David
Reviewed 21 February 2022

A very nice man with a Dutch accent telling about his career as a hand-model is a strange premise for a comedy show. Victor David has limited success with his jokes, apart from problems with the audience understanding his accent, he fails in some pacing with his timing, losing what might have been a funny line. I hate to be the one to tell him but he is not going to make it as a ukulele player or singer either, although his songs are amusing.

David makes a valiant effort and succeeds in garnering some laughs and support from the audience. With experience and a good director, he could develop a competitive show – I hope he keeps trying.
