Trash Test Dummies is not as simple as the name suggests. Three acrobats from Dummies Corp. turn two dollar bouncy balls and roadside wheelie bins into a circus bonanza that will entertain even the most fidgety children.

They sprinkle extremely clever audience participation throughout the show, to keep younger viewers engaged. They begin by walking among the audience to collect pocket rubbish to feed their bins, and continue by tossing colourful plastic balls, perfectly sized for little hands to throw back towards the stage. It is impossible to resist dancing, clapping, and laughing along with these charismatic performers.

Their inventive and carefully choreographed routines include – the roadside bin ballet, set to Tchaikovsky’s Dance of the Little Swans – acrobatics atop rubbish bins and dodging garbage bags filled with helium balloons – comical strongman displays – juggling clubs with miniature bins.

Highly recommended for families who are unafraid of rubbish humour. Those wishing to participate in this friendly show should sit closer to the stage.
