Whether you are a Simpsons know-it-all or have just dabbled in the good seasons when you were younger, Yianni Agisilaou: The Simpsons Taught Me Everything I Know will have you laughing harder than Bart watching Itchy and Scratchy; and wondering how on earth you hadn’t heard of Yianni sooner. Not knowing exactly what to expect we sat in anticipation and were wowed from the get go with the incredibly clever Simpson character impersonations and stories relating to how the Simpsons have taught Yianni some important things. For the facts buffs who love the clever things that go into TV shows that you often don’t know about, Yianni will let you in on lots of cool facts that will serve you well at quiz nights.
As you journey through The Simpson ages, from where it began through to modern day and then circle back to the best years, you will find yourself singing along to songs and laughing along to all the silly quotes our favourite dysfunctional family have come up with over the years.
If you are a massive fan you may be disappointed that more material wasn’t used, especially in relation to them predicting Trump would be President when Trump jokes are present in the show. But in all honesty, The Simpsons has so much material that Yianni could have a 3 hour show and it still wouldn’t cover everything. The 60 minutes he has, he jam packs and even when he made a slight mistake his recovery was honestly the best recovery I have ever seen and it became an incredibly funny part of the show. The audience participation was a lot of fun and Yianni was incredibly engaging for the entire show. Different, clever, funny, engaging and new is what you want to see at the Fringe and this show was all those things and more.
