If you’ve ever been known to sing your heart out to a pop anthem in the shower, scream lyrics in the car, or secretly imagined yourself taking to the stage, Sink or SING! is about to feel very personal. Returning to Adelaide Fringe in 2026 after a very successful run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, this interactive cabaret is back, and it’s ready to turn your Fringe night into a full-blown singalong celebration.
Hosted by award-winning vocalist and international vocal coach Amelie Peters, Sink or SING! is all about joy, connection and the fun of singing your heart out in a room full of strangers who quickly feel like friends. Combining comedy, storytelling and high-energy audience participation, the show unfolds like a group therapy session set to some fantastic pop tunes.
“What started as 1 song in a humble asbestos-ridden rental in Magill in 2022, has now developed into a full production with a live 6-piece band! ‘Sink or SING! An Interactive Cabaret’ is the beating heart of so many South Australian stories, and I can’t wait to share it with my beautiful hometown in Adelaide after an international debut at the world’s largest arts festival – the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025. The Scottish audiences sang so loudly every night, so I’m very curious to see how much noise Adelaide can make in 2026!” shared Amelie.
The 2026 return sees the show level up with the Hot Mess Orchestra, bringing a bigger band and an even more electric atmosphere to the stage. With laugh-out-loud moments and unexpectedly tender reflections, Sink or SING! invites audiences on a nostalgic ride through music, memories and self-discovery, reminding us why singing has always been such a powerful form of expression. It’s wholesome and hilarious, with a touch of vulnerability, making it a show that stays with you long after the curtain closes.
Following its Adelaide debut in 2024, a Gluttony season in 2025 and an international cabaret launch at Edinburgh’s Gilded Balloon, Sink or SING! now comes home to BankSA Theatre at Gluttony in Rymill Park. With air-conditioning, a fully stocked bar, it’s perfectly positioned as the ultimate late-night Fringe show.
