Fringe: Spend A Night In Paris With Jazz Singer Louise Blackwell

Is an airfare to France a bit out of the question at the moment? No worries – jazz singer Louise Blackwell is bringing France to you during Fringe.

Combining the beauty of French culture and jazz music, Louise and the French Set will be playing popular music from twentieth century artists including Lucienne Boyer and Léo Ferré that will take you to the most romantic city in the world.

For A Night In Paris, Louise will recount her life in the French capital and lend her exquisite vocals to a range of great French songs in an evening variety show.

The Paris jazz scene has played a huge part in Louise’s life as she has lived in France for over 10 years having studied the specialised vocal technique under Sara Lazarus and Michelle Hendricks.

Louise Blackwell and the French Set are performing A Night In Paris at the Nexus Arts on February 20 and 28, and at St James Church on February 24. As an added bonus, Louise and three members of the French Set will also perform at The Pocket as part of the Stirling Fringe on February 26 and 27. Get your hands on tickets at adelaidefringe.com.au
