FRINGE: The Gin House Burlesque Revue returns with award-winning cabaret and late night gin

The Gin House Burlesque Revue returns to Prohibition Liquor Co. with vintage glamour, bold burlesque and gin, for a spectacle that’s earned sell-out seasons and serious acclaim.

Looking for a show that lets you step behind the curtain this Fringe season? Well, The Gin House Burlesque Revue is doing all that and more as one of Adelaide’s beloved Thursday night institutions once again proves why it has become a cult favourite. With a flawless run of sold-out seasons since launching in 2023 and a glowing record as a Weekly Cabaret Award Winner in both 2024 and 2025, this is one you’ll want to get to this Fringe season.

Hosted in an intimate speakeasy setting tucked behind Prohibition Liquor Co., the show is a love letter to the clubs of the 1920s, where live music, performance and indulgence ruled the night. Across the season, audiences are treated to a rotating lineup of 18 international, interstate and local burlesque artists, each bringing their own style to a revue that combines old-world elegance with modern sass and style.

Leading the project is producer and host Lyra la Belle, who was just named one of the Top 10 Most Influential Burlesque Performers in Australia in the prestigious 21st Century Burlesque sub list, and a recent headliner of the Australian Burlesque Festival. She is joined by a roll call of stars, including Bonnie Dune, winner of New Follies at the Australian Burlesque Festival, Bella De Jac, a global powerhouse of striptease, and Lucy Lovegun, crowned Most Comedic at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas.

Adding to the show is a four-piece live band curated by Belle Ballard, serving up a soundtrack of swing, blues and bump-and-grind numbers. The partnership with Prohibition Liquor Co. is central to the experience. The show leans fully into its gin-led identity, ending in a show-stopping finale involving a giant Martini glass act that has quickly become its signature.

If you’re keen to pair this with some of Prohibition Liquor Co’s signature gins, cocktails or snacks, food and drink can be ordered before or after the show! Please email: [email protected] to pre-book.

The Gin House Burlesque Revue continues to raise the glass and the stakes on what an unforgettable night out can look like. Find them at Prohibition Liquor Co’s Tasting Room from February 26th to March 19th.
