Sycamore Road, the Adelaide based Scottish folk band are premiering their show A Night with the Jacobites for a two night only special at the Adelaide Fringe.

The story of the Jacobites and their Bonnie Prince Charlie, who they believed was the rightful King of Scotland and England, is one fraught with danger, excitement and intrigue.

The show incorporates live music from high-caliber artists, through vocals, bagpipes, folk guitar, fiddle, harp, keyboard, wind instruments and bass guitars all the while going through the Jacobites’ pursuit for the crown.

Written by Sycamore Road member Iain Paterson, the show weaves film, contemporary Scottish music and narration, based on the times of the Highland Clearances in Scotland.

Incorporated is the exciting addition of Highland dancers from the Garrick-Stewart School of Highland Dancing.

If you love folk/Celtic music or perhaps a bit obsessed with the Outlander TV series then A Night With the Jacobites will be in your wheelhouse.

The show will be premiering on March 3 and playing its only other show on March 15 at Scots Church. Tickets will go towards taking the show to the Edinburgh Fringe.
