Viral comedy hypnotist Matt Hale is heading home this Fringe season, and he’s bringing a whole lot of 90s chaos with him. Straight off a sell-out run at Edinburgh Fringe and a feature on the BBC, the performer is returning for Adelaide Fringe 2026 with his smash-hit show Funbelievable! 90s Rewind.
After lighting up the stage at the prestigious Gilded Balloon, one of the most coveted venues at the world’s biggest arts festival, Matt’s nostalgic hypnosis spectacular quickly became one of Edinburgh’s hottest tickets. Regularly selling out, earning multiple five-star reviews and winning over international audiences, the show has made Matt one of Australia’s most exciting Fringe exports.

Now, Funbelievable! 90s Rewind is coming back to Adelaide, promising a full-throttle comedy hypnosis experience that leans hard into the glorious weirdness of the decade that gave us Britpop, girl power, boy bands and dial-up internet.
