FRINGE: You’re invited to Adelaide’s messiest wedding reception as Confetti & Chaos returns to the Fringe

The wildly popular immersive comedy Confetti & Chaos returns to Adelaide Fringe 2026 with more mayhem, more audience interaction and an extra week of laugh-out-loud wedding chaos.

Adelaide, consider yourself cordially invited to the most chaotic wedding reception you’ll ever attend.

Back in 2026, for its fifth season at Adelaide Fringe, the smash-hit immersive comedy Confetti & Chaos is returning with all the laughs, the drama and the delightfully awkward moments that only a truly disastrous wedding can deliver. After four consecutive sold-out Fringe runs and a hugely popular regional South Australia tour, this fan favourite is bigger than ever, with an extra week added due to overwhelming demand.

Presented by Interactive Theatre International, the masterminds behind the global phenomenon Faulty Towers The Dining Experience, Confetti & Chaos drops audiences straight into the surprise wedding reception of Will and Stacey. What begins as a sweet celebration quickly spirals into absolute pandemonium, as uninvited relatives appear, long-buried secrets surface, and the line between performer and guest all but disappears. From the moment you take your seat, you’re no longer just watching the show, you’re part of it.

With four performers expertly playing nine outrageous characters, the production is a combination of comedic storytelling with lightning-fast improvisation, playful ad-lib banter and constant audience interaction. Get immersed in the world of overfriendly in-laws, wildcard wedding guests and moments that feel utterly spontaneous, because they often are. No two nights are ever the same, and that’s exactly what keeps Fringe fans coming back year after year, with new friends in tow.

Adding to the experience is a three-course meal served as part of the two-hour interactive show. Dietary requirements are well catered for, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free and other options available, so everyone can relax and enjoy the ride. And unlike most weddings, there’s no gift required, just a sense of humour and a willingness to embrace the fun.

In 2026, audiences can catch Confetti & Chaos across two South Australian locations, with performances at Tickle Belly Hill in Saltia on February 21st, followed by a city season at the Adelaide Royal Coach Hotel in Kent Town from February 24th through to March 8th. Shows run from 7pm to 9pm, making it a perfect Fringe night out with friends, family or colleagues.

So if you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to attend the worst wedding reception imaginable, this is your chance. Confetti & Chaos is not one to miss!
