Frog cake arrangements are now a thing, thanks to Adelaide dessert shop the Lunch Bunch and Balfours bakery.
The bouquet, announced as part of Balfours’ birthday week, is chockfull of beloved SA treat frog cakes, chocolate leaves, and chocolate flowers. With 10 mini frog cakes in total, this is a great gift for your local frog cake lover, and it’s beautifully displayed as well.
“Our bouquets never had any glitter or any gold before, but we are taking it to a new level now,” Lunch Bunch founder Vlada Kazimirchuk says of the arrangement, which comes presented in golden paper and dusted in golden glitter.
The frog cake displays were announced alongside Balfours for the bakery’s birthday. The two dessert brands are currently holding a competition for a free bouquet, valued at $135, but Kazimirchuk says the new frog cake special will now become a permanent fixture of the dessert shop’s menu due to the positive response to the competition.
Balfours is celebrating its 168th anniversary.
“Balfours is Australia’s oldest bakery,” the company shares on their website.
“We trace our history back to 1853 when Margaret Balfour and James Calder arrived in South Australia, bringing with them the finest traditions of European baking.”
