From Unley To Aldinga, Rosey’s New Cafe Spreads Its Delicious Wings

Because two of one of our fave cafes in Adelaide is always better than one…

Aldinga has become the place to be in the last year… And now added to its mix is the recently opened Rosey’s Cafe.

Rosey's Cafe

A welcome sight (or taste) to the beachside suburb, the sister cafe to Rosey’s in Unley, has already made its mark as the go to destination for all things delicious food and coffee.

Set in a beautiful stone cottage on the corner of Port Road and Old Coach Road, the revamped interior offers a clean, earthy space with a chic modern interior and all of the natural light. The funky decorative touches keep it relaxed. It feels like the kinds of place that you want to sit for a very long time as you make your way through the out of this world menu.

And talking about places that you could sit forever, we haven’t even mentioned the outside dining. Kick back on the natural wood deck and enjoy the shade of umbrellas and trees, surrounded by lush green lawns. At night, the deck is lit with party globes strung above the seating, giving that enchanting, relaxed atmosphere.

Rosey's Cafe

Having heard so many good things, I recently stopped by for a long chilled out brekky with the hubby. The sunny Sunday morning played perfect host to this outing, as did the friendly smiles that we were greeted by as we arrived to find a table.

It is like they had saved the cutest table for us, it was backed by a tomato vine and dressed with terrariums.

Coffee and milkshakes to start. Obviously. And caffeine addicts, I have to say that I was super impressed with my creamy delicious caffeine hit, and wished it was a bottomless cup!

As for the food, well we opted for the Full Breakfast which really was FULL. Perfectly poached eggs, chorizo sausage, roasted tomato, dark rye toast, spinach, roast mushrooms, bacon AND smashed avo!

To balance out all of that savoury it seemed only right to dabble in something sweet. So we also managed to work our way through the Buttermilk Pancakes served with local poached pears, candied nuts, syrup, and some amazing house made vanilla-bean ice cream. I can honestly say, hand on heart, that these were possibly the best pancakes that have ever passed my lips. Fluffy perfection.

It was clear to see that ingredients play an important part in the kitchen. Everything was fresh, expertly prepared, and delicious.

First Rosey’s Cafe experience: total winner. It will definitely become a regular haunt for us and if you haven’t visited yet put it on your list. Now.
