Fumo 28 Oyster Bar and Seafood offers a wide array of seafood with ocean front views.
The boutique restaurant is located on the stunning Port Lincoln foreshore and sources local seafood and fresh produce.
Owner Akash Thakural opened Fumo 28 in 2019 after working in the seafood industry for over a decade.
“I thought about exploring a seafood eatery in Port Lincoln to try new recipes and showcase products in a restaurant,” Akash said.
“We use local Port Lincoln products and seafood from surrounding areas like Coffin Bay and Tumby Bay – mainly from the air peninsula.”
A star offering at Fumo 28 is its 11 different oyster flavours. Six are served raw with options including lime, ginger and green ant gin; granny smith vinaigrette, and pickled squid.
Meanwhile, there’s five cooked options including Kilpatrick; three cheese mix, bacon and spinach; and walnut crumb with a blue cheese dressing.
Akash said other star dishes are the local tuna from port Lincoln and the king George whiting served whole.
“Serving the whole king George whiting, no one does it like that in the area,” Akash said.
“People come from different places to see and taste our seafood.”
To go along with the generous seafood menu, Fumo 28 also offer a full bar of drinks, with local SA wines.
Akash said in the future he hopes to expand the restaurant upstairs, with elevated views of the sea.
Fumo 28 welcomes you to try out all their oyster range, enjoy a local drink and soak in the gorgeous ocean front view.
