Further CBD wastewater testing for COVID-19 returns positive results

SA Health have stated that wastewater testing has detected a continuing positive presence of COVID-19 in central catchments.

The COVID-19 vaccine program continues in the northern suburbs, with South Australia’s fifth hub at the Lyell McEwin Hospital now ready to commence operations.

During a press conference at Lyell McEwin Hospital, SA Premier Steven Marshall also discussed the recent positive wastewater testing results for COVID-19.

A strong positive result of COVID-19 was found in Adelaide’s CBD following testing in the area on Thursday and Friday night.

Today, SA Health stated that wastewater testing has detected a continuing positive presence of COVID-19 in central catchments.

The areas where positive wastewater was detected do align with medi-hotels with previous positive cases, however, they can also be connected with areas of large fringe activity, in the parklands.

SA Health are urging anyone with even mild symptoms to immediately get tested and the public to remain vigilant.
