The Bureau of Meteorology has released a flood warning this afternoon, with showers, rain and thunderstorms forecast for the North.
Isolated showers across the weekend resulted in Todmorden recording another 63mm across 3 days.
Im the 24 hours to 9am Monday, Blinman had 17.8mm, 11mm was recorded at Ernabella/Pukatja, and Maree Airport had 8.8mm.
The Bureau has forecast that rain will increase over the next 24-48 hours across Northern parts of South Australia, as rain develops from Monday afternoon. It’s expected to continue overnight and into Tuesday morning, over parts of the NW and NE pastoral districts.
The rainband will gradually contract northwards late on Tuesday, with heavy rainfalls still possible on Wednesday near the Queensland border.
Rainfall totals until midnight on Thursday are expected to be generally less than 2 mm over the southern agricultural area.
BOM has predicted 2mm to 10mm over the Northern agricultural area with possible local falls of 10 to 20 mm associated with thunderstorms.
Rainfalls of 10 to 30 mm are generally expected over the south of the pastoral districts and the Flinders districts, increasing to 30 to 80 mm over the north of the Pastoral districts with heavier more localised falls of 80 to 120 mm possible.
Isolated higher falls of 120 to 200 mm with intense thunderstorms are also possible.
