While many of us haven’t even thought about what Fringe shows to head along to, some artists performing at this year’s Adelaide Fringe are out and about and getting our attention with previews of their fabulous acts.
It certainly makes it much easier to pick and choose when there’s so much on offer! Paul Dabek is one such performer who dazzled guests at the launch of his comedy/magic show “Look At Me“, held at the Propaganda Club – which incidentally holds up well on 40 degree days. Being underground certainly has its perks!
Paul’s ability to hold the attention of the crowd, with his quick wit, and engaging act, kept the audience on their toes. The audience was left wondering if they had come for the magic, his unique brand of humour, or his hysterical ability to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. Either way, we all left with a smile on our dial, and one or two of us walked away with a little more. But let’s not give the game away. Go and see it for yourself. Worth the time AND the money. Word on the street is that his kid’s show is just as entertaining. One for the parents who can’t stand another Wiggles singalong. It’s called the ‘I Hate Children Children’s Show‘. Perfect huh? Paul will be playing ‘I Hate Children’ at Gluttony and ‘Look At Me’ at the German Club this year. Full details here.
