The Australian parliament has voted to allow same-sex marriage, ending the ban on gay and lesbian couples marrying.
The landslide win saw the bill passed with only 4 votes against it, and a massive 154 votes in favour.
It follows on from a majority of Australians voting yes in the historic postal survey this November, showing their support for marriage equality.
South Australians voted 62.5 percent YES – reflecting the views of the nation.
LGBTIQ couples will be able to marry in the new year.
Awesome.
