The ever-popular Touch a Truck Day is back in two SA locations this weekend, bringing a truckload of family fun these upcoming school holidays.
In The City of Marion and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield, people will have the opportunity to see various trucks up close. Both kids and adults alike will enjoy this opportunity to get up close and personal with the vehicles, and beyond the machinery itself, this day promises insights from the very folks who operate them.
If you’ve ever been curious about the role of a particular truck in the community, or maybe just how those vehicles come to life, lights blazing and engines roaring, the operators will be on hand, ready to chat, share, and answer all your questions.
Of course, a day out wouldn’t be complete without some tasty treats. Whether you’re an ice cream fan or a coffee connoisseur, you’ll be able to get your hands on these on the day. And let’s not forget the sausage sizzle!
While the trucks might be the main attraction, there’s a whole roster of activities to make the day even more memorable in both locations. In Regency Reserve, there’s golfing challenges by Shanx Mini Golf to fun activities by Nature Play SA, YMCA, and the PAE Libraries team. And in Mitchell Park, there’ll be live music, too.
For those looking for a more toned down, tranquil experience rather than the bustling environment, which may be overwhelming for some, there will be a dedicated sensory hour from 10am until 11am at Regency Park, and 9:30am – 10:30am in Mitchell Park.
So, rally the troops and head along to Touch a Truck Day these school holidays. This is a free event- registration or tickets are not required.
