FruChoc Ice-Cream Is Coming To This Year’s Adelaide Fringe

Gelatissimo’s FruChocs Fringe is a choc-peach gelato mixed with diced apricot chunks and chocolate drizzle and topped with a single FruChoc.

In the spirit of all things creative and artistic, Gelatissimo has partnered with beloved South Australian icon, Menz FruChocs to create a custom gelato flavour specially for this year’s Adelaide Fringe.

Aptly named FruChocs Fringe, the flavour is dedicated to the South Australian confectionery and will be available exclusively across all four Adelaide stores for the duration of the festival, as well as at Gelatissimo’s pop-up stall at the Fringe’s Garden of Unearthly Delights.

Gelatissimo’s FruChocs Fringe is a choc-peach gelato mixed with diced apricot chunks and chocolate drizzle and topped with a single FruChoc. 

“We wanted to create something fun and unique for the Fringe so it was a natural fit for us to collaborate on something so quintessentially Adelaide,” says Gelatissimo Glenelg owner, Robert Troiani. “This was not a flavour to be taken lightly. FruChocs are an absolute SA institution but we think we’ve done them justice.”

Polly Love, Marketing Manager at Robern Menz agrees, commenting, “We are always looking for new ways for people to enjoy FruChocs, so when Gelatissimo approached us about the idea, we loved it from the outset. We believe FruChocs and gelato are a match made in heaven, and what better time to indulge in this flavour combination than during Fringe.”

The limited edition FruChocs Fringe flavour will be available from 14 February to 15 March 2020 at Adelaide’s Glenelg, Gouger Street, Norwood and Rundle Street stores and at Gelatissimo’s Adelaide Fringe stall on the North Side of The Garden.
