Gemini Downs Supports National S.L.A.M. Day of Action

Local indie pop-folk act Gemini Downs are proud to be supporting National S.L.A.M. Day of Action, bringing their high-energy style show to FUSE West on February 23.

They’ll be sharing the Nexus stage with The Salvadors (SA), Akoustic Odyssey (SA), and Winter People (NSW).

“We want to help build Adelaide’s live music scene to be the best in Australia – and we're going to do it in truly unique out of the box Gemini Downs style,” said singer-songwriter Jessica Braithwaite.

Audiences can expect a fun-filled show from Gemini Downs. There’ll be tap dancing percussion and home-made instruments. They can create a tune out of just about anything!

Fresh from two weeks of recording at Chapel Lane Studios with former head of Sony Music Australia Wayne Ringrow, Gemini Downs are keen to give audiences a preview of their new sound.

“We’ve got some new songs, and put a fresh new twist on some of our old songs.”

The gig will be Gemini Downs’ first since seeing in the New Year with 30,000 people at Elder Park. In 2011, the popsters also shared stages with Eskimo Joe, the Beautiful Girls, Josh Pyke, and Icehouse.

Gemini Downs second EP will be released later in 2012.
