Want to take flight but don’t want to have to buy a boarding pass? McLaren Vale’s Geoff Merrill Wines has the fix for you!
The winery welcomes a new range, ‘The Gaggle by Merrill’, which features five wines to satisfy everyone from the wine novice to the wine mum.
‘The Gaggle by Merrill’ contains a Rosé, Grenache, Shiraz Cabernet, Chardonnay and a Riesling, with the range’s Charley Rose Dry Rosé and the Dancing Queen Riesling having both taken home gold medals from the 2020 Royal Adelaide Wine Show.
Influenced by cheeky geese, the collection incorporates a younger and fresher wine style, intended for drinking immediately – a different (yet still delicious) style to the aged wines Geoff Merrill is famed for.
For those looking to taste ‘The Gaggle by Merrill’ in all its glory, the family-owned winery offers wine flights and tasting experiences at its Mount Hurtle cellar door.
‘The Gaggle by Merrill’ range can also be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home and you can purchase a bottle for $25.
Established in 1980 by winemaker Geoff Merrill, the winery is best known for its fine wines and has held a 5 red star rating in the Halliday Wine Companion for eight consecutive years.
Geoff Merrill Wines is open Monday through to Saturday and, you can find it at 291 Pimpala Road, Woodcroft.
