German Club of Adelaide to host spring Frühlingsfest

SA’s German Association will be opening its clubhouse to the public for their annual family-friendly Frühlingsfest (Spring Fest).

Spring has sprung and what better way to celebrate than with live entertainment, kids activities and an open bar.

SAGA (South Australian German Association) will be opening its clubhouse to welcome the public to their annual family-friendly Frühlingsfest – Spring Fest, this November.

On Saturday 6 November 2021, SAGA will welcome families along to enjoy an afternoon filled with authentic German food and beverages, live music and traditional kids entertainment!

In Germany, Frühlingsfest is often held on the 1st of May and is all about getting your friends and family together after a long, cold winter. With international travel off the cards for a while, this event is a great way to make the most of the seasonally warm weather and Adelaide’s rich German heritage.

Set in and around the Clubhouse, located in Brooklyn Park, Frühlingsfest will kick off at 2.00 pm with German food favourites on a fabulous big BBQ! To complete your perfect German feast, indulge in a glass of wine and Proost with a stein of good German beer!

During the afternoon, there will also be traditional German music and kids entertainment from 3.00 pm.

DJ Herbert, Adelaide’s well-known music master, will then take the stage from 7 pm to 10 pm, so remember to bring your dancing shoes!

The SAGA President notes this year’s Frühlingsfest is “probably the biggest family BBQ in Adelaide!“. Get your family and friends together and join in this vibrant community festival.
