Come and see the future vision for our city at Adelaide City Council’s interactive hub in Victoria Square / Tarndanyangga.
The colourful display will be open to the public between 11am – 4pm today and tomorrow and will showcase some of the city’s big initiatives including the Victoria Square and the Rundle Mall Redevelopment projects.
Council staff will be on hand to demonstrate how the community helped create Council’s vision for the city and to chat about upcoming projects, services and the city in general.
“The interactive hub is a great chance for you to get a first-hand look at the future of the city, as outlined in Council’s new Strategic Plan – One City, Many Places,” said Lord Mayor Stephen Yarwood.
“There is a new enthusiasm and direction sweeping over Adelaide, so grab your friends and work colleagues and head to Victoria Square to see what’s in store for the city over the next few years.”
Splash Adelaide, which is a joint Council and State Government campaign to create a vibrant city, will also be in Victoria Square on both days with a host of food vendors, including La Cantina, Burger Theory and Raw Thirst.
A range of games including giant Jenga, mini-golf, croquet, connect 4, quoits and handball will also be being played, courtesy of Life Be In It and there will also be a range of other activities on offer including roving entertainers, an African dance display and an outdoor book sale.
To celebrate, a range of events and activities will also be popping up around the city during the week. For updates on daily events and for further information on the Victoria Square hub go to www.cityofadelaide.com.au
