Christmas

Get fresh Coffin Bay Crays right here in Adelaide for one day only this weekend

Coffin Bay Crays have packed the car and made the trek over to the big smoke to set up a stall at the Norwood Football Club this weekend.

If you’re already planning your Christmas lunch and want to include some of South Australia’s finest seafood, then you’re in luck because this weekend the you’ll be able to get your hands on fresh, Coffin Bay crayfish, direct from the source.

Coffin Bay Crays are packing the car and making the trek over to the big smoke to set up a stall at the Norwood Football Club to sell their crays direct to the consumer.

The small, family-run business is known for making road trips around SA and even into Victoria to sell direct, cutting out the need for a middleman which in turn means lower prices. The Coffin Bay Crays are $85/kg and come cooked.

Promoting themselves solely on social media, they’ve gathered a loyal band of followers who eagerly await their updates on when and where they’ll be travelling next.

South Australia is renowned for its top-quality seafood, particularly from the crystal-clear waters of the Eyre Peninsula which produces some of the world’s best oysters, mussels, and shellfish with Christmas being the prime time for producers as people prepare for family gatherings and festive catchups.

Seafood has become an Australian Christmas tradition as it fits perfectly with our warm climate with many preferring this option rather than slaving away over a hot oven.

This could be the last time the Coffin Bay Crays make it to metro Adelaide before Christmas (which is only around the corner!!) so make the most of it if you’re in the market for some seafood this festive season.

When: Saturday December 3rd from 10am
