Adelaide Botanic Garden is a perfect escape for some refreshing greenery in the midst of our moody climate at the moment.

A diverse and interesting range of workshops are planned for the next few months at the Botanic gardens, that’ll help you pick up some new skills and rejuvenate your body, mind and soul.

The Art of Bonsai | 18 Oct | $220 per person

In this practical hands on course you will learn about the best horticultural practices to construct, grow and care for your very own bonsai.

Topiary Craft | 25 Oct | $95 per person

Join this practical and hands-on workshop to discover the fascinating art of topiary, its link to ornamental horticulture, modern day examples, growth techniques and different forms.

Intro to Landscape Design | 17 and 24 Sept | $360 per person

In this two-day course you’ll learn foundations of landscape design and develop skills to create a garden that feels good, performs for you, has longevity and evolves to provide shade, shelter, privacy and protection.

Demystifying Orchids | 13 Sept | $95 per person

Developing your own collection of Orchids may be easier than you think! In this practical hands-on workshop, propagating and growing Orchids successfully will be demystified.

How to Keep Bees | 15 Nov | $70 per person

This workshop aims to give an understanding of the workings of the hive, and the requirements of the apiarist to maintain the health of the bees. It will also cover honey production and the tools used in its production.
