The Barossa will be home to a brand new punk and rock festival next year, promising a line-up of bands that’ll challenge the established idea of live music in the region.

The ‘No Quiet’ festival is set to hit Greenock in January, and will see a line-up of high energy, heavy-hitting local SA punk and rock acts, including up and coming regional and metro bands.

Headlined by Young Offenders, Chelsea Manor and No No No No No, music fans of all ages will be treated to a full day of live (and loud) music at the Greenock Tavern.

Triple J’s One Night Stand, Unearthed winners Chelsea Manor, who originate from Mount Gambier, say they can’t wait for a chance to play in the Barossa.

“We are super excited to be playing the first-ever No Quiet festival”, says the band’s singer Bianca Hendy.

“As a band from the Limestone Coast, we understand the importance of regional shows, and providing opportunities to engage youth who may not normally get opportunities to see live music”.

Andy Adams, Publican of The Greenock, is looking forward to bringing new energy to the venue and town.

“As a venue, we are really proud to be hosting an exciting event that we believe to be the first of its kind in the Barossa – We can’t wait to welcome both familiar and unfamiliar faces to our home”, Andy says.

The organising team of Kieron Lomax & Dan Hill have been planning the event for nearly two years as a response to iconic events such as Clarity Records’, “Day Of Clarity”.

“The inspiration to create music and art, to meet new friends and share in the energy of discovery and the raw visceral excitement of loud, fast music is something we feel everyone should experience, and No Quiet is an opportunity for those in regional areas to join in on the fun”, says Kieron.

Alongside the incredible line-up of bands, will be food offerings from Nugg Lyf and bevvies supplied by Bridge Road Brewers.

Adding to the atmosphere will be a pop-up tattoo parlour from Nuriootpa’s Ink Obsession Tattoo, as well as live art from Barossa-born artist, Benen Hamon.
