Forget the Big Rocking Horse; you now have a new reason to visit Gumeracha. Ochre Nation is the combined cellar door for both the Unico Zelo winery and Applewood Distillery and is owned and operated by two very passionate & community minded individuals, Brendon and Laura Carter. Their labels embrace the use of Australian native ingredients and they are well on the way to showcasing this amazingness to the rest of the world. But first, they want to show you.
So that means it’s party time! Ochre Nation Cellar Door will have its official launch on Saturday 23rd September starting at midday and you are all invited.
Want to learn about making gin? Like the idea of red wine and chocolate? Well Brendon will be holding a number of masterclasses on the day so you too can learn just that little bit more about some of his passions. You can check out the full programme and get your tickets for these via https://www.unicozelo.com.au/products/ochre-nation-masterclasses Get in early as there are limited numbers available.

If you are just up for a good time with friends, then there is plenty of ways to eat, drink and be merry at the launch. With live music throughout the day, fundraising games for local volunteer organisations and food from Forgotten Seasons and the Birdwood CFS cooking up a BBQ (mmmm….sausage sizzle) you can’t go wrong. What about the drinks I hear you say? Well you won’t be disappointed there either. Enjoy G&Ts, Negroni’s, Espresso Martinis and Hot Toddys as well as Unico Zelo’s Spring release wines and Harvest Wine Grower’s Co-op wines. Now that sounds like the way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
