Get ready to stir, shake and mix like a pro with the launch of this elite cocktail club

A new cocktail club just launched, here to serve you everything you need to make the best cocktails in town.

Ever dreamed of crafting cocktails like a professional?

If you haven’t heard already, a new cocktail club just launched and it’s here to serve you everything you need to make the best cocktails in town, one curated box at a time.

Launched by duo Carlo King and David Biviano, Elix-Elite was born when David saw Carlo whip up a spectacular cocktail from the ingredients at hand.

“He went into the pantry, grabbed some spices, pulled out a couple of spirits, and mixed something up. I looked at it and thought, ‘That’s going to taste terrible,’ but it didn’t, it was amazing,” he explains.

“That moment really stuck with me – watching someone just use what they had on hand and still create something incredible.”

The concept is simple. Subscribe and you recieve a box with high-end Australian spirits, garnishes, homemade syrups – hint, hint macadmia orgeat – as well as recipe cards and access to interactive masterclasses.

And to sweeten the deal, all new subscribers also recieve a cocktail kit valued at about $120 that includes all the tools you need to kick start your cocktail journey in a sleek, high-quality stainless steel.

Now, after much anticipation, their ‘May Box’ is here and – setting the bar high – their partner is SA’s own Mad Monkey Distillery. Known for chasing full-funk and depth with native ingredients and a sustainable approach, this Barossa-based distillery will take your cocktails on a wild, flavour-filled ride, and have your palate dancing.

So, what’s inside?

“There’s two cane spirits,” David explains.

“One’s called ‘Flora,’ a botanical spirit, and the other’s a baked apple spirit that’s a lot like rum, but we can’t legally call it that in Australia. You also get recipe cards for each, plus online video masterclasses to help you along.”

This first box has a tiki flare, but with plenty of room to make it your own. Whether you prefer something a litle more tutti fruity, or enjoy the hit of tang to the tongue, the masterclasses will have a cocktail for everyone, no matter your preference.

Their mission is to put Aussie spirits in the spotlight with future collabs lined up with the likes of Imperial Measures Distilling, Ambra, Square 1 Gin, and Marionette, just to name a few.

“We’re only using Aussie. When we’re done, we’ve probably teamed up with a third of the distilleries in the country,” says David.

The total value sits in the hundreds, but this passion project is all about pushing people to get creative and experiment with what’s on hand. It’s just $160 a month, and you can cancel anytime.

“At the moment, there’s limited resources out there to make cocktails with Australian spirits,” David adds.

“A lot of the recipes online don’t work with Aussie products – I want to show people how to use them confidently, and get creative at home.”

Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or simply treating yourself to a well-made nightcap, Elix-Elite makes it easier than ever to raise the bar at home, one Australian spirit at a time.
