Adelaide’s Moonlight Cinema 2017/2018 season, situated in Botanic Park, has begun with a bang, opening the season on Thursday night with the brilliant black-comedy, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
Why waste those beautiful, long summer’s nights inside when you can laze around in the fresh air while watching some of your favourite films? Adelaide’s Moonlight Cinema provides a great alternative to spending a warm summer’s night inside and is a fantastic option for families and friends to make the most of Adelaide’s warmer months.
This season of the Moonlight Cinema is packed full of not only new theatrical hits such as Pitch Perfect 3, Murder on the Orient Express, Thor: Ragnarok and The Shape of Water, but also classic favourites like Love Actually, The Breakfast Club, Dirty Dancing and Back to the Future. This season also features several advance screenings and special events, so check those out!
Grab a group of mates and a couple of bean bags and picnic blankets or bring the whole family and rent out some of the comfortable lounge-like Bean Beds for $9. There is also the option of purchasing a Connoisseur Lounge or Gold Grass ticket which will ensure you a prime viewing position and a Bean Bed at the screening, alongside wait service if you’re feeling a little bit fancy.
Friendly and quiet pooches are also allowed into the screenings, so if you don’t feel like leaving your beloved canine companion at home, bring them along to enjoy the night.
And don’t worry, the organisers know how important food is to a movie-going crowd with the Moonlight Cinema venue providing an LA Style Food Truck and candy bar with a great range of street food and snacks (movie hotdog anyone?), as well as a fully licensed bar for all your alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage needs.
There is also the other option of BYO both food and drinks (including alcohol) if you’ve got a sparkling white you’ve been saving for that perfect Summer’s night.
The season runs from December 1st til February 18th, so check out the Moonlight Cinema 2017/2018 program here and book your tickets now for fun Summer nights ahead!
