Sarah Shanahan, our resident self confessed homewares addict (check out her amazing Instagram account here), wants to introduce you to someone…
With all of the travelling around Adelaide, exploring homewares stores, Sarah has stumbled across one that she just had to share with us all. She loves this newby so much that she has already added it to the list of places she visits with her Shop with Sarah shoppers.
Sarah tells us why Luxe Style Co is one of her new faves…
Open since December 2015, this little gem is nestled in a boutique style shop in the beachside location of Seacliff (in Adelaide’s southern suburbs). Owner, Kirsty Worthy, who has always helped her friends style their homes had decided to make that a career and after successfully completing an Interior Design Diploma now comes her very own store full of furniture, homewares and so much more!
With an eclectic taste for furniture and homewares, Kirsty has, together with that interior design background, gone and sourced collections from both local artisans and overseas suppliers ranging from colourful cushions, funky bean bags, luxurious cow hides and ottomans, hanging cane and macramé chairs, locally made candles, lanterns, picture frames, rugs, vases, leather bags and beach totes, along with the latest in artwork, prints and more. It is like sheer homewares and interior decorating heaven!
Being beachside means that the focus of the store is to ‘enjoy the little things in life!’ Kirsty wanted to create a brand which not only suited her lifestyle but that also fit into others lives as well.
My four current fave brands that Luxe Style Co. stocks are:
Other great brands include Jessie Breakwell, HK Living, Blacklist Store, Xueller, Nicole Fendel
Jewellery, Noochi+Co, Cathy Gray, The Style Hut amongst so many more.
Fun Fact: Kirsty also offers an ‘In Home and Business’ styling service. Using the gorgeous furniture from the store or sourcing something in particular, she can transform a room, your whole house, or an office!
Fun Fact No. 2 (because you can never have too many fun facts): You can also get into making some homewares yourself as Kirsty organises workshops and other group sessions. Next on the program is a Macrame Workshop in which you make your own wall hanging! Find out more by calling 0418 836 558.
And now that you are acquainted with one of Adelaide’s most stylish homwares stores check out the details below on where to find them!
