Get Your Stark On With This Barossa Medieval Fair

Tanunda to become the land of some serious Game of Thrones vibes.

Rewind time and suit up for the Barossa Medieval Fair this August in Tanunda.

Running on the 10th and the 11th, the event is perfect for those still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster that was the final season of Game of Thrones (or just for the history lover in your squad).

Co-hosted by The Australian Cider Co and the Ironclad Academy of the Sword Inc, this event is the result of the many successful runs of the Gumeracha Medieval Fair and the need for a bigger land to conquer.

Walk through another time through Heinemann Park, tucked behind Barossa Valley Brewery, and view re-enactment groups setting up camp and living life like in those times.

Make your way to the combat arena through the array that is the town square to learn all things sword fighting.

With a falconry and horses, animal lovers are catered for as well.

For the crafters? Leather working will also be on display.

It wouldn’t be a fair without themed food and drinks stalls so thank Western Ridge Brewing who will showcase original recipes for the event. They will be responsible for many delicious creations including a raw ale served uncarbonated from a wooden cask, hailed as the most authentic medieval that can be served.

If you are not feeling the need to keep to theme, there are a variety of vendors and delicious feeds.

If you are looking for a fun, but educational weekend out with the family or want to take your knight or damsel away for a day, head to the facebook event page for ticketing information.
