This December Head To A Food Lover’s Weekend In A Heritage Riverside Retreat

Two nights at a relaxing riverside getaway and a foodie bonanza tour through the best of Fleurieu Peninsula produce.

Preceding the Christmas mania, a getaway is often in need, and when it involves a foodie focus, then it only gets better.

December is the month to enjoy oneself and River’s End Retreat are hosting a Food Lover’s Weekend Retreat at their Goolwa Heritage home on Friday 6 December ’til Sunday 8 December.

Co-owner, Trudy Bishop will take you on a foodie bonanza through the best of Fleurieu Peninsula produce.

On the Friday evening, you’ll join a group of food lovers on their deck (which overlooks the gorgeous Murray River) for sundowners, and a ‘Tasting the Fleurieu’ platter.

Saturday takes you on a gumboot trodding tour to visit a range of producers on their properties.

From there, a cooking experience with the spoils of your visit that day and a full night of feasting.

Sample the freshest of local produce, meet the producers and then learn some new ways of preparing the wonderful local produce around at this time of the year.

The two night package includes daily breakfasts, farm and producer visits, delicious dinners, tasting plates.
