Papershell Lodge a farm stay, located in historic Willunga. The Lodge looks out toward world class beaches and the McLaren Vale wine region, both only 5 minutes drive away.
Papershell is a 9 acre almond orchard in conversion to a bio-diverse food forest, where you’re encouraged to pick your own fruit & veg and say hello to the animals.
The Lodge is a beautiful, 2-person, cedar-clad self-contained studio, built on to the farm’s homestead.
It features a yoga studio downstairs, with the accommodation upstairs.
Those lucky enough to stay at Papershell Lodge will wake up nestled in the tree tops to the sound of birds and enjoy breakfast on the balcony with views over the canopy of the orchard right through to Pt Willunga.
In late July / early August the almond orchard is in full blossom and looks spectacular!
Guests are treated with fresh produce from the garden, fresh eggs, the farm’s almonds, muesli, baked treats and jams/relishes/pickles – whatever the season brings!
The Sun Shala on the ground floor is a dedicated yoga studio, with classes running during the week. Guests are free to use the Sun Shala during their stay as there are no classes running on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
You’re encouraged to switch off, disconnect and return balance to your life
Nestled at the bottom of the lawn is the farm’s Almond Door (their farm gate) which sells their produce (fruit, veg, almonds, honey, jams etc.). It also houses their coffee machine, and they are happy to make you a coffee on them!
Stroll around the property, and visit the fruit orchard where the chooks live.
Head over to the Greenhouse and poke your nose in to see where the seedlings are grown.
Say hello to the farm’s two sheep, Piccolo and Pistachio, and feel free to feed them.
Walk through the kitchen garden and pick anything you like.
Wander along the creek path and through the almond orchard, with stunning views through to the Willunga Hills.
Sit in the swing and look up into the canopy of the Claret Ash.
