The Little Blue Shack a hidden gem on the Yorke Peninsula that all South Aussies need to uncover.

Perched above the dunes of Wallaroo this holiday shack has all the comforts of a family home.

Endearingly named The Little Blue Shack for its colour and spectacular 180-degree sea views spanning over the entire North Beach, this holiday stay is as charming as it is sweet.

The crystal clear water is just steps from the front door, just wander down the front steps of the shack and through the dunes and you will find yourselves on the sand.

North Beach is popular amongst families and is perfect for young children as the beach is protected by a headland so the water is mostly still.

The sand that lines the beach is long and flat perfect for sunrise walks and splashing about in shallow rock pools which form in the early hours of each day.

For the fearless traveller, North Beach is known as a hotspot to uncover baby mud crabs.

North Beach is also one of the few SA beaches you can actually drive your car on and set up for the day.

The shack comfortably sleeps up to 10 people, with three bedrooms and a large secondary living space that can be converted to sleep three. All rooms on the premises have split system air-conditioning so you don’t need to worry about over-heating.

There is a  large family bathroom as well as a separate laundry fitted with a washing machine.

Both the living areas and the kitchen are enormous and well equipped to comfortably accommodate up to two families. In wintertime, guests can enjoy the slow combustion heater.

The property is fully enclosed with a large fence surrounding the perimeter. In the yard, there is plenty of room for the kids to play, plus a BBQ is provided so guests can enjoy the long balmy summer nights outdoors.

Outside there is also an outdoor shower and foot tap designed to stop sandy feet in their tracks before entering the shack.

Directly behind the property is a great reserve with new playground equipment, basketball, tennis and fitness facilities. The park is well maintained with plenty of grass and open spaces for the kids to play.

For anyone still feeling short on activities, the shack is equipped with everything you need for a true beach holiday. Inside is a full range of family-friendly board games, magazines, puzzles and books.

Outside in a securely locked area guests have access to  2 kayaks, life jackets, boogie boards, outdoor games and sporting equipment.

The modern, mid-century shack has recently been renovated with a fresh coat of paint and new floor coverings. The coastal decor is timeless and reflective of the stunning scenery outdoors.

The shack is just minutes from the township of Wallaroo which boasts several delicious cafes, pubs and a very popular gin distillery.

This little treasure is just a short 1.5-hour drive from Adelaide. Check it out on your next trip to the Yorke Peninsula.
