Hutton Vale Farm offers guests the unique combination of a luxury stay like no other, with the charm and tranquility of country life on a working sheep farm and winery.
This is a little different from your average hotel or Airbnb. Owned and run by the Angas family, the farm offers two options for accommodation: J.H.A. Stone Cellar and the Hutch Hilton accommodation.
Opened in 2019, J.H.A is a premium bed and breakfast named in the honour of its founder, at the original site of one of his farm buildings. It is a purpose built refurbishment of one of the oldest remaining stone buildings on the property.
J.H.A. Stone Cellar is suitable for two couples or a family of four and is a blend of old and new with thick stone walls and large glass windows for exquisite farm and vineyard views.
Guests at the J.H.A. Stone Cellar are supplied with a breakfast hamper of local produce including; eggs, bacon, milk, muesli and fruit. There is also a complimentary tasting at the Cellar Door during your stay, arranged in advance.
According to Vogue Living, “the J.H.A. Stone Cellar is the newest and nicest bush accommodation in the country, boasting all the smarts of a city home.” That’s quite the compliment!
The second accomodation offering at Hutton Vale Farm is the Hutch Hilton, which they describe as ‘a camping holiday without having to take anything’.
The creatively reworked cabin accommodation provides four separate bedrooms each with queen bed, ensuite, electric blanket, air conditioning and heating. The well equipped indoor/outdoor kitchen with adjoining lounge area has an open fire, books to read and games to play. Perfect for families or a group of friends.
Hutton Vale Farm is located within an hour and a half drive from Adelaide, nestled in the rolling hills of Eden Valley, in the Barossa region of South Australia. For those wanting an unparalleled luxury experience, guests are able to arrive via charter flights landing on the farm’s private airfield between the Mt Edelstone and the Hutton Vale Farm Shiraz vineyards.
J.H.A will set you back $490 per night for one bedroom, or $690 per night for 2 bedrooms both based on a 2-5 night stay. Minimum two-night stay.
Hutch Hilton goes for $440 per night for 4 bedrooms / 8 guests. Special rates available for stays more than 5 nights.
