Getaway: Level Up Your Camping With The Bandicoot Springs Tiny Eco House

Go off-grid in this tiny eco-hut in the Adelaide Hills, and enjoy wildlife spotting, a spring at your doorstep, and nature at its finest.

For a tiny $100 a night, you can experience another one of Adelaide’s tiny getaways.

Located at Ironbank, where several other eco-getaways are also nestled in the Adelaide Hills (including Earthship Ironbank & HideyHOLE), you can get back to nature only 25 minutes from the Adelaide CBD.

Be surrounded by native flora & fauna in your own fully functional tiny house.

Set on the edge of a natural spring that runs into the Sturt River, this is the ideal spot for all nature lovers or those looking for that extra comfort from traditional camping.

To get to your eco-pod, you’ll need to park in their off-road car park and walk down a track for 5 minutes (so pack light and wear sensible shoes!). You don’t get this kind of seclusion without working for it a little! If you have a 4WD though, you can get down the track with ease.

The private getaway caters for up to 2 guests, in the studio accommodation, which has one bed, a bathroom and a small kitchenette.

As you’re surrounded by nature, keep an eye out for actual bandicoots, birds and other wildlife while you kick back in the super-secluded, relaxing space.

The deck is the perfect place to enjoy a BBQ or a drink, while reading a book or just unwinding after a day adventuring in the Adelaide Hills.
