If you’ve been looking for an excuse to head to the Yorke Peninsula for a much-needed getaway, this is your sign! Marion Bay has welcomed a new eco-retreat, and it’s blending sustainability with some serious style.
Bayside Glamping’s newest retreat, named The Sanctuary, is everything of our coastal dreams. It’s charming, while blending luxurious elements and being just steps away from the beach, it’s one to check out.
“Built with love by my dad, George, and partner Luke, with impeccable selections and styling by Penny Crompton, The Sanctuary is a luxurious escape like nothing we’ve done before,” says Bayside Glamping founder Tiffany Falzon.
“It truly brings together our family’s skills—Dad’s craftsmanship and zero-waste approach, Luke’s landscaping talents, and my vision for creating the perfect couples’ retreat.
“We’re so proud of our existing Tiny House and Glamping Tents, but The Sanctuary is on a whole new level. This time, we’ve gone all out—and we’re so excited to finally share it with our guests. It’s been such a labour of love,” she said.

The retreat prioritises comfort with some awesome amenities worth travelling for. It’s got a plush king-size four-poster bed topped with soft linens, positioned right next to a reading nook designed for stargazing. The bathroom brings the outdoors in with glass doors that slide open to get some of that delicious sea breeze.
Plus, the open-plan kitchen and living spaces are stocked with local produce like coffee, tea, wine, and beer. Outside, you’ll find three spacious decks, an outdoor shower, and even a fire pit.
“Lush lawns are a rare sight in Marion Bay, so we wanted to create the perfect space for picnics, Finska, and ring toss. To maintain a green space year-round despite the dry conditions, we chose TifTuf – a drought-tolerant grass, known for its ability to stay vibrant throughout the year,” said Tiffany.
“Bikes and helmets are included too—perfect for exploring the town at your own pace.”

At The Sanctuary, you’re so close to some of the state’s most beautiful natural landscapes, like Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park. And while it’s designed to fit two, it’s a part of a curated group experience where guests can book The Sanctuary, Glamping Tent, and Tiny House for a getaway with friends and family.
So, if you’ve been needing a winter getaway, this might be the perfect excuse to book something! If you find yourself in the Yorke Peninsula, find out what’s on here.
