We’ve all said it. We need to switch off. Unwind. Get back to nature. Well here’s your chance.
For a very affordable $79 a night, HideyHOLE is a space for people who love nature, but still want to be close to the delights of Adelaide Hills cafes & wineries, or Adelaide’s festivals and culture.
The 15sqm, tiny, rustic space embedded within nature is a teensy bit remote, but that’s what we love about it.
The cabin has been handmade with love as a tiny home. It’s rustic, cosy, and has everything you need for a simply relaxing getaway.
The glamping ‘hide’ overlooks a waterhole in an Adelaide Hills biodiversity hotspot. The area is home to over 48 native bird species, 15 types of mammals and 6 reptiles. If you’re quiet, you can watch wild koalas, kangaroos and bandicoot from the deck.
Enjoy the comfy sofa bed, or sleep on the deck thanks to protection from the pull-down screens.
The hut features a compact kitchen with kettle, toaster and camp stove. The ‘out house’ has a composting toilet (no water, it uses sawdust instead). Shower on the deck in this private little valley – with the birds, or by starlight with the frogs. Gas hot water and removable shower curtains mean you can choose from piping hot and protected, or a la naturale!
There’s a fireplace in your hut, so Winter visits are possible, and you can also build a fire outside the hut.
Currently the tiny getaway is booked out, but if you follow the HideyHOLE Facebook page, you’ll be notified once new dates are released.
Hideyhole is volunteer-run so all proceeds care for people and planet. They want their nature immersion to inspire you to connect more deeply with nature, and those you love!
