Featuring a 13-metre-long giant sea turtle, there’s a new Noarlunga park, and it’s promising to keep the kids entertained for hours. With everything from a climbing net for the little monkeys, to basketball and netball courts for your little sports-stars-in-training, parents will be able to sit back and soak up the Southern Suburbs sun whilst the little ones run amok. To celebrate, Land Australia are putting on a festival of sea-themed fun, and is inviting families to come on down and get in on the action.
“We are proud of the innovative giant sea turtle that is the centrepiece of the newest southern
suburbs playground and look forward to welcoming families to our grand opening,” said Michael Hickinbotham, Managing Director of Hickinbotham Group.

Their opening on March 14th promises an afternoon of free family fun. With everything from face-painting, food and drinks to native animal experiences, and a surf skills workshop, there’s something for everyone. Land Australia is also joining forces with other SA businesses, teasing fire-truck appearances from SA State Emergency service, a Fresh 92.7 prize wheel, a whole day of sea-themed activities from Nature Play SA and more!
To further sweeten the deal, Hickinbotham Group is running a competition to name the 3-metre high Sea Turtle, encouraging kids to submit their ideas. With a $500 Visa E-gift on the line, we suggest you get the family together and start brainstorming!

Sea Turtle Park is being developed in conjunction with Land Australia’s Sunset project – a $267 million development in Port Noarlunga South, that will house up to 640 families once complete. Land Australia, part of Hickinbotham Group (South Australia’s largest builder and developer), is focused on creating not just houses, but communities around them.
“Our playgrounds are the hub of our housing communities, fostering connection between
neighbours as children explore,” said Managing Director Michael Hickinbotham.
The unveiling will take place on Saturday, March 14th from 10am go 1pm, with Health and Wellbeing minister, the Hon. Chris Picton MP, doing the official ‘opening honours’. Situated just minutes away from award-winning Port Noarlunga beach, we suggest bringing your surfboards and snorkels to certify a whole day of family fun!
