The Gilles Street Market has been running for ten years now, if you can believe it, and Adelaide’s premier destination for all things fashion (from local designers to vintage classics) and Sunday morning DJ’s is hallmarking the decennial by moving out of their birthplace at Gilles St. Primary
The now iconic market has outgrown its current format and is evolving into something new, and very exciting! They’re moving to an indoor residence, with access to a large grassed outdoor space.
Don’t worry about the end of an era, though, as the Gilles team are moving onto bigger and better things.

Welcome to Gilles AT THE GROUNDS! Adelaide’s favourite style markets will be hitting the Wayville Showgrounds, taking up residence in the Old Brick Dairy, a space steeped in history and grand aesthetics. The move has also brought about a partnership between the markets and local creative, Samantha Cox from Artistic Lifestyle, who will deliver an integrative styling approach, reflective of the historical site but also in tune with the market’s vision and vibe.
There’s even more good news though, with the market Sunday’s coinciding with the Adelaide Farmers Market, making the Wayville Showgrounds the place to be.
Gilles AT THE GROUNDS is set to be the same fantastic bustling marketplace with live music, entertainment, and delicious South Australian food. Best of all, they’ll remain dog-friendly, so the whole family can come along!
The first Gilles AT THE GROUNDS will launch on 15 April this year, celebrating the inaugural market at the new home. So keep your ear to it and head down to the Grounds!
