Specialty cocktails are popping up across South Australia just in time for winter, and Adelaide Hills’ own Prancing Pony Brewery have just announced their take on the gin-infused hot chocolate.

If the mad success of Barossa Distilling Co’s gin-infused hot chocolate is anything to show, the new addition to the menu at Prancing Pony Brewery is going to be a hit this winter.

Taking to Facebook before the weekend, Prancing Pony Brewery announced the exciting new treat in a post that quickly racked up an impressive 600 comments from the public looking to quench their thirst.

“Here is something to warm you… a gin hot chocolate. I am the official taster of all the cocktails (lucky me). This is the before pic it’s soooo good. We are officially all ready for tomorrow,” the brewery said.

Topped with what appears to be a delicious helping of whipped cream, the gin-infused hot chocolate is also dressed with a pretzel and garnished with some refreshing mint.

Prancing Pony Brewery is another Adelaide Hills success story that has quickly made its mark on the Australian craft beer scene. Famously home to what they describe as ‘long flavor,’ Prancing Pony only opened its doors in December 2012, but was soon moving to a much bigger location in Totness, just a four-minute drive from Hahndorf.

Very much into supporting local artists and emerging musicians, the success of the brand hasn’t gone to their head, keeping community, independence and integrity at the top of its core values.

The alcoholic-infused treat is the perfect introduction to winter weather and comes with a number of other specialty announcements to warm the soul including a chai latte martini at Henley’s Seamore’s.

Don’t wait too long to snap up one for yourself, we’re sure they won’t stick around for long.

Prancing Pony Brewery is located at 42 Mt. Barker Road, Totness.
