Gin Is The Word At Fringe This Year!

Adelaide’s hottest gin-infused bar has graced itself in our presence this year at the Adelaide Fringe. Think tropical oasis… think Hendrick’s… think alcohol. Yes please!

It’s back! Last year Fringe favourite, Moxie, brought gin, gin and more gin to Adelaide, and this year is going to be no different!

East Indies-inspired Moxie Bar, sits above East Terrace Continental (ETC), offers unrivaled views over the Garden of Unearthly Delights as well as gin master classes, quiz nights, live performances and DJs.

With more than 50 types of house-infused gins with flavours ranging from rare botanicals to exotic spices, the pop-up venue is a gin bar with a twist.

Owner Anthony Fitzgerald says Moxie Bar has returned to the East End bolder, braver and ready to delight.

“Once you step inside the tranquil oasis, you’ll be transported to a colonial bygone era where your choice of cocktail is only limited by your imagination,” Anthony says.

“We’ve thrown the cocktail book off the balcony, in favour of crafting bespoke cocktails to order.”

In partnership with Hendrick’s Gin, the menu features a range of Hendrick’s based cocktails as well as an abundance of small batch gins and spirits produced by local South Australian distilleries like Hayward & Park, Applewood and Adelaide Hills Distillery.

A range of craft beers, ciders, cocktail jugs and a handpicked selection of South Australia’s best wines from Alpha Box & Dice and Jeff Hardy are also available.

For hungry Fringe-revellers, the upstairs gin den also serves a selection of Asian inspired toasties and wood-fired pizzas and pasta from ETC on Friday and Saturday nights.

In addition to the Fringe festivities, Moxie Bar will host a WOMADelaide After-Party on Sunday, March 11, a ladies weekend for the Adelaide 500 and St Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 17.

So if you want to feel the sweet, sweet buzz that gin graciously provides, the Moxie Bar will be open every night of the Adelaide Fringe until 18 March from 5pm until 3am.
