Glen Ewin Estates well-known Hill Climb Revival will make its return in 2022, with the venue announcing the dates for next year’s event.
If you love classic cars, gin, or want a relaxing breakfast or lunch in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, this event is the one for you, scheduled to run from January 30-31.
Presented by Glen Ewin Estate and Sports Car Drivers SA, the line-up will see more than 40 cars on display, that’ll include some of the original class winning cars from the 1930s’ and 1950s’, as well as the original victors trophy.
Visitors can start their day with a refreshing fig gin, breakfast platter or lunch all available at their Cellar Door Restaurant (bookings recommended).
Bites and booze will also be available for purchase at various stalls near the displayed cars.
The Glen Ewin Hill Climb was a big event in the 50s, when after the war, a keen group of enthusiasts from the Sports Car Drivers SA established the Hill Climb race at the stunning Adelaide Hills winery.
The race required the cars to drive up the steep driveway at the Estate and out onto the Lower Hermitage road, then onwards into the Adelaide Hills.
Guests will be able to immerse themselves in South Australia’s motor racing history with the day honouring the great history of the hill climb and providing a fun family day out with lots of impressive vintage cars to see.
So grab the pen, and mark this one in your diaries for next year:
