Roll up and roll the dice, Vegas in the Vale is going to be a non-stop night of exhilarating thrills and Vegas-style celebrations hosted by Ginny Pig Distillery on Saturday 22 July.
There’s two reasons they’re throwing an epic party: in honour of their 3rd birthday and their exciting latest achievement of winning the coveted title of the world’s ‘Best in Class Gin’.

This comes as no surprise; only last month were Craig and Bec – the husband-wife duo behind Ginny Pig Distillery – put South Australia on the map as winners of the prestigious Best Overall Gin prize with their remarkable Botanic Gin. In three years since they burst onto the gin distilling scene, they’ve proven popular once again with their range of locally distilled artisan gins.
“We’re pretty blown away by this one,” Bec expressed to Glam Adelaide. “We can’t believe it, we’re really still on cloud nine; like ‘did that actually happen?'”
Naturally, their Botanical Gin blew the judges away. With Australian native botanicals filling out the palette, this winning gin is a well-balanced, fresh and crisp gin that’s easy to drink.
“It’s also the only one we entered,” says Bec. “Mainly because it’s quite expensive to enter and ship them, but now we can claim our Botanical Gin is the best in the world for 2023!”
Ginny Pig Distillery have announced all the ways in which you can get in on the subsequent celebrations and viva Las Vegas with them in McClaren Vale. The Vegas theme only makes sense: because the awards event itself was hosted in Vegas, Bec says “We’re bringing Vegas back to the Vale!”

So your $25 general admission ticket will grant you access to their whirlwind world of Vegas magic, into which you’ll be welcomed to witness the dazzling performances of showgirls, plus give aways and prizes, and you’ll also be given access to a wad of Ginny Pig Funny Money to play at the three gaming tables — blackjack, poker and roulette all on offer — which you can use to indulge in the fun of casino games without the risk of losing any money.
“Because Vegas is all about gambling and casino, we just want it to be fun and also an experience to learn how to play.”

If you feel like living it up like the young, wild and free getting hitched in Vegas, you can even make a really special weekend out of it and book a 10-Minute Vegas Vow Renewal for $50. With wedding celebrant Carolann Evans dressed up as Marilyn Monroe as the officiating celebrant, and with Elvis Presley as the witness, you’ll receive a memorable personalised ceremony and beautiful certificate.
This is only one of the reasons why it’s recommended you come dressed to impress and bring the theme to fruition: you may be among or one of the happy couples celebrating their union once again, and there will also be roaming photography on the night, plus a DJ keeping the dance floor pumping. While the dress code isn’t strict, Bec says “It’s great when you dive in and help create the mood. You can come in glitz and glam, all-out Vegas-style with feathers.”

“Some of the people present will be dressed up already; the showgirls, and our bar staff will be dressed in traditional poker visors.”
Rocking up dolled-up and ready to party is advised, but so is arriving hungry. Amongst the glamour of Ginny Pig Distillery’s Vegas-themed party, there will be scrumptious wood-oven pizzas available to purchase on site by a local food truck.
Tickets are selling fast, and in regards to the vow renewals, Bec advises to book in before they’re all gone. “We’ve only got about 20 spots available for the vow renewals.”

Well then… get your Vegas glam out and pokerface on, and book your tickets before they’re gone.
You know what they say: what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas – and McClaren Vale.
